A Fair Trial.......

Brisbane District Court Judge, Hugh Botting has released convicted child molester, Dennis Ferguson from prison dropping pending charges against him using the reason that he will not receive a fair trial due to previous convictions for molesting 3 children in a motel back in 1988 for which he was jailed for 14 years. The charges that were dropped related to him allegedly sexually abusing a 5 year old girl in her home in November 2005. The judge says it is unlikely to find an objective jury. Dennis Ferguson has been re-located to a residence where police say no children are in the near vicinity and he is being monitored by them. Judge Botting further stated the prosecution of Dennis Ferguson was relying on the evidence of the 5 year old girl who may have him confused with another convicted sex offender with whom she had contact with.
Many have heard of Dennis Ferguson and and witnessed on television how this creepy, disgusting piece of filth rants, raves and generally conducts himself. Everyone is entitled to the presumption of innocence before guilt in a court of law and Dennis Ferguson should be afforded these rights as well re: the dropped charges. He should have no problem standing up and proving his innocence IF he has done nothing wrong. It is appalling that the charges were dropped because IF he is guilty, then he gets away with it. Queensland's Attorney General will appeal the courts decision. Whether or not he is guilty of the charges involving the 5 year old, for his previous crimes of child sexual abuse, he is still a waste of oxygen and nothing more than the pile of dog shit I stepped over this morning.

Suggestive Clothing

What may seem funny to some is obviously offensive to others. The 16 year old wearing a t-shirt with the above images was arrested and charged with offensive behavior under the Summary Offences Act 2005 for public nuisance. The shirt was worn, not at a religious gathering but down a road where members of the public would have no doubt found it offensive. I am not religious but when I see these kind of t-shirt images, it makes me cringe and ask, "Does this person have any self respect?".


Then you will find the parents of younger children again who buy clothes for their youngsters with varying slogans that really have no business being on kids clothing. It isn't funny, and I believe it sends out the wrong message to our children when you permit them to wear them. It is one thing to see older people parading around in trashy clothes as such, but find it disgusting when parents turn their kids into walking billboards with sexual orientated messages.

Dad permits 13 year old to marry?!

While Australia has Bill Henson taking photographs of naked teenagers, we now have a police officer from the Northern Territory who sanctioned the marriage of his 13 year old daughter to a 19 year old male. The reasons the father went ahead and basically said ok to the marriage that it was within tribal law. He allowed his daughter to sleep with the man in his own house, who then became pregnant. The pregnancy wasn't viable and the fetus died, and when surgery followed it was discovered that the 13 year old had 3 sexually transmitted diseases.

No 13 year old is capable of making decisions about marrying and raising a child, still a child herself. Tribal laws are still practised to some degree in communities and the law can and does refer to these at times through the judicial system. Calls have been made for the police officer in question to be fired over allowing this to take place. While supposedly upholding the law he approved the sexual abuse of his young daughter and permitted it to take place in his own home.
Chief Justice of the Northern Territory, Brian Martin sentenced the 19 year old male to two years jail, to be suspended after 6 months saying , the child "freely entered" into the traditional marriage and became pregnant in September 2006.

How in the hell is a 13 year old capable or mature enough to "freely enter" such an arrangement? Sexual abuse and sexually transmitted diseases are rife in aboriginal communities with the government attempting to stamp out the rising statistics. This can not happen while parents condone their children to be used this way.

Sexual abuse is not confined to aboriginal people or their communities in Australia.

Too Late to Shut the Gate....

The children taken from the sect The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which runs the west Texas ranch, are to be returned to the mothers. It is a very grey area when children are involved. So there was errors in numbers, how many does it warrant to then be a problem? This is what is said:

Texas officials claimed at one point that there were 31 teenage girls at the ranch who were pregnant or had been pregnant, but later conceded that about half of those mothers, if not more, were adults. One was 27.

So, this would mean that approx 15/16 underage kids was then at risk? That is 15/16 too many.

The Third Court of Appeals last week that the state failed to show that any more than five of the teenage girls were being sexually abused, and had offered no evidence of sexual or physical abuse against the other children.

Only five?? If five were being abused sexually, that is still five TOO many. How is it then justified that the kids are to be returned, with restrictions. Perpetrators of sexual abuse are well known to brain wash and put ideas and use scare tactics against those they abuse. This gives them a chance to give it their best shot and these kids will never speak up against what is happening. They are ALL at risk, if it is occurring with some. High chance it will with others.

In an ongoing criminal investigation separate from the custody dispute, Texas authorities collected DNA swabs Thursday from sect leader Warren Jeffs. A search warrant for the DNA alleges that Jeffs had "spiritual" marriages with four girls, ages 12 to 15.

Jeffs, who is revered as a prophet, is serving a prison sentence for a Utah conviction of being accomplice to rape in the marriage of a 14-year-old girl to a 19-year-old sect member. He awaits trial in Arizona on similar charges.

Adults can ' usually' protect themselves. Who is going to protect these kids from this kind of monster and his teachings. Be damned if you do and be damned if you don't.
