7 Deserted Wonders of the (Post)Modern World

Near Genoa, Italy is a small abandoned village. What would cause people to leave such a beautiful place? To be fair, though, the ruins left behind are aesthetically compelling in their own right. The structures are remarkably intact and provocative.

This site has the most amazing pictures of abandoned towns/places around the world, worthwhile having a look at. Two of the places I didn't see was 'The Lost City of the Incas' Machu Picchu and Wat Phra Mahathat, Authaya in Thailand . Although they are not post modern, still places of mystery . Be easy to lose oneself and appreciate these surroundings.

For something totally amazing, have a look at the site below. Definitely work of the dedicated.

That looks a wonderful place to visit. I am sure it would have lots of photo opportunities too.

The work in the bottom link is amazing!
