Rockin' in the 70s

"When Im tired and thinking cold
I hide in my music, forget the day"....BOSTON, More than a feeling.

Brings back memories hearing songs of the 70s and 80s being played on television. Transported back to a time, singing along with the lyrics. Can't help but smile and when looking at the fashions worn by our favourite musicians back then and those hair styles are something else. Yet, when hearing the music , you suddenly recall all the words and unconsciously sing along with them. Music trends change with time and what is the 'in' thing to listen to today will not be tomorrow. REO Speedwagon, Air Supply, Cutting Crew, Nazareth, Bangles, Mike & the Mechanics, Cheap Trick, Toto, Survivor, Poison, Boston, Europe, Foreigner, Joshua Kadison,Whitesnake, Bad English, Michael Bolton and who will forget the tartan terrors, Bay City Rollers ! I can almost hear the collective groans and giggles now. Still the likes of Ac/Dc will never leave my Cd collection :-)

The fashions made me cringe then and do now.

The music was mostly good though. Come on, who doesn't want to own a pair pants and hair style like 'Woody' from BCR? *laughs*

I can put my hand on my hear and say I have never wished to wear Bay City Roller garb. There's nothing like breaking out the music of my teens and going on a trip down memory lane though. Now I have a hankering for "If You Want Blood...

Yes but I guess I'm talking from a girls perspective :-)

Yes the music was good, after all it still gets played now! There were girls in my school who used to dress up in the Bay City Roller gear, I never did understand that!
