Live in the Dream

To be perfect in his eyes

along the way she stumbles,

she falls.

And as she sleeps alone at night,

all of her dreams

shall come to light.

Much mirth and warmth,

an faultless love.

Mornin' sun awakens

her slumber.

Upon her pillow,

her head lay heavy.

A solitary tear escapes.

Hombre susurrante...she knows,

all but a dream.

Is that meant to be funny or what?

It's nice to have someone to dream about, though.

This is such a sad piece to me but very beautiful. I think it resonates particularly with me today due to the dreams I had last night.

Great writing Nunyaa. Thank you for entering it into my Poetry Prompt

I truly enjoyed this piece. The emotion shows through with the last line.
