More ....Local Anzac Day Parade 2008

The sun peeped from behind the clouds and the threatening rains held off for our local Anzac day Parade. Thousands lined the streets, and cheered as the local police lead the parade followed by elderly diggers in army jeeps. The stirring sound of the bagpipes next followed by representation from various sections from the armed forces. Schools from around the district had students who marched proudly. Once again I seen Banjo and Chris along with two other members dressed in soldiers uniform from WW1. The parade made its way through town and back to the cenotaph on the water front, and waited for the drone of a Cessna slowly approaching and as it flew above the crowd they rained hundreds of red poppies down upon them.
