Incense ..... breathe in
We as humans have five senses and after touch, one of the most intimate senses is scent. Certain smells can trigger memories. The smell of apple pie, cinnamon, lavendar , rainforest, different types of aftershave and perfume such as Joop or Opium, even cut grass take one back to different times and places in our lives.
The word Incense is derived from the Latin verb incendere, ‘to burn’. It has been used to accompany prayer, to worship the Gods, uplift the emotional state, for meditation and can bring a sense of peace and change the atmosphere in a room or home.
Sandalwood, Nagchampa, patchouli, Lavendar, Aphrodesia, Black Opium, Cinnamon, Rose,Vanilla, Satya are favorites in my house.

I used to love to wander around the temples in Kathmandu when I lived there. So many smells, not always pleasant. Always interesting however.
My wife loves incense and often has essential oils in burners around the house.
I love them, can't not have them in the house, not impressed when I run out of tea light candles though.
Oscar Wilde adored scents and fragrances.
I am sure I commented before...
I don't have a sense of smell!
The not-wife makes sure we have a large stock of incense in the house. Some of the scents are gorgeous
Oh Cherie, if you did, I hope I did not erase it by mistake, I might of been under the influence :-) Yes Jams, I find it can change a mood and bring about a positive, calming effect.
I think Blogger eats the comments sometimes ;-)
I like Nag Champa, sandalwood and cedarwood.
Also Sex Panther by Odeon. It's illegal in nine countries...
