Daniel Morecombe has been missing now for four and a half years. Daniel's parents, Denise and Bruce, twin brother Bradley and older brother Dean have no closure as to what happened to Daniel. His shetland pony Bullet grazes in a paddock waiting Daniel's return. Daniel's picture is on milk cartons, pizza boxes, billboards, ads on television, even a truckie has adorned his semi with Daniel's photo in the hope that it will jog someone's memory. To see the look in his parents eyes and hear the heartache in their voices is enough to make the strongest person shed tears for a little boy lost. Out there, there is someone or persons who knows where Daniel or his remains are and what happened to him.

Please visit the Daniel Morecombe Foundation website set up in Daniel's honor.

All too often, children are the innocent victim’s in our sometimes cruel society. The events surrounding Daniel’s disappearance have strengthened a community in their resolve to ensure that this type of tragedy never occurs again.

But the Daniel Morcombe Foundation’s belief and vision is one that also incorporates a future where all children are provided with protection, education and support in their lives.

The objectives of the foundation are simple and wide reaching across many facets of our community.

1. To educate children regarding their personal
safety (including abduction)
2. To assist victims of crime, particularly where crime involves children
3. To continue the search for Daniel
4. To raise funds from public and Government entities to support the above objectives
5. To provide a vehicle to attract funding from State and Federal bodies and to establish and maintain a public fund to attract public donations and bequests

Well done for posting this, nunyaa. How awful for Daniel's family just not to know.

It is terrible and watching his mother last night you could just see the sadness all over her face.

A heartbreaking story Nunyaa. But sadly all too common these days. One can only imagine what the family is going through.

This was one of the first posts I wrote about missing people and it is truly a very tragic case, as they all are. I hope one day the evil people responsible are brought to justice, how can anybody live with this on their conscience.

JMB, Elle, James, its just the worst. The thing is Elle they don't ahve a conscience. If there is a God, he will be their judge if they are not caught by the police beforehand.

I think that in this day and age, children should learn Krav Maga.
